Privacy policy

Last updated 4 September 2026. Applies to myanimetracker.com and the MyAnimeTracker iOS app.

What we collect

  • Account details. Your email address, a password hash, and the username you choose. We need these to sign you in.
  • Your library. The series, movies, and episodes you track, their status, ratings, and notes. This is the product.
  • Preferences. Display settings you pick on your profile.
  • Diagnostics. Website error reports have personal details stripped before they leave your browser. The iOS app uses Expo to check for and deliver app updates. These requests include an installation identifier, platform and app version information, and may include details of a previous fatal error.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or browsing history, and we do not track you across other apps or sites.

How we use it

To run the service: signing you in, storing and syncing your library between the web and the app, delivering updates, measuring update adoption and reliability, and fixing bugs. We do not sell data, show ads, or share your data with advertisers.

Who processes it

  • Supabase hosts the database and authentication.
  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Sentry receives website error reports, with personal data removed.
  • Expo delivers iOS app updates and receives installation and update-related diagnostic information.
  • AniList, MyAnimeList, and Jikan supply anime metadata and artwork. Requests to them are made by our servers or your device and contain no account details.

Where it lives on your device

The iOS app stores your sign-in session securely in the iOS keychain and may cache anime data on your device. Keychain data can remain after you uninstall the app. Uninstalling does not delete your account or your library on our servers; use Profile → Delete account to request account deletion. The website uses cookies to keep you signed in.

Your choices

You can edit your username and profile at any time from your profile. In the iOS app, you can delete your account and everything in it yourself, in-app, from Profile → Delete account. If you're on the website, email support@myanimetracker.com from the address on the account and we'll delete it within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update the date above and note it on the site.
