Anime Offline Database

Our catalog includes factual metadata from manami-project / anime-offline-database, including titles, release information, episode totals, studios, selected genres, source identifiers, and aggregate ratings. Its final release is dated July 4, 2026. Since then we use the weekly releases of its continuation, which carries the same data forward under the same licenses: they refresh these facts and add new titles. Ratings describe the release they come from.

This source database is available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. Individual database contents are available under the Database Contents License (DbCL) 1.0. We select records, normalize fields, and connect them to our catalog entries. Our downloadable catalog facts include the source version, fingerprint, transformations, and licenses. The current facts from the continuation list the release, fingerprint and changes for each refreshed or added title.

TVmaze

Selected episode names and air dates are supplied by TVmaze through its public API, under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International.

We select episodes, map their numbering to the corresponding anime release, and publish those reviewed facts in our catalog. Each episode source download uses the same current mapping and snapshot as the app; see One Piece episode facts and attribution. A dated initial episode export is also available. When the anime offline database stops updating, a new title can also come from its TVmaze listing, matched to its MyAnimeList identifier through Wikidata (CC0 1.0); a person reviews each one before it appears, and the title facts download lists them under TVmaze's licence. Selected posters, backgrounds, and episode images are sourced through TVmaze's API and image CDN. Images are loaded directly from TVmaze’s image CDN. Unavailable images use a placeholder. We select matching show and season artwork and resize its display; the original files remain unchanged.

Selected descriptions are condensed adaptations of TVmaze show summaries. We remove promotional claims and references outside the corresponding release. These adaptations are available under CC BY-SA 4.0: download the descriptions, source links, and attribution. When a release has no description of its own, we may show the description of a directly related release in the same reviewed series group, labelled “About the series” and credited to its source. It describes the series, not that release.

Later descriptions are condensed from a release's own TVmaze show summary or from the introduction of the English Wikipedia article that Wikidata links to its MyAnimeList identifier, both under CC BY-SA 4.0. A language model shortens the source text into a spoiler-free premise, and a person checks every description against its source before it appears. Each one links its source: download these descriptions, source links, and attribution.

Artwork attribution and source links are available in our selected poster source list and selected background source list, and selected episode image source list. Each record links to its corresponding TVmaze show, season or episode. Initial sources include One Piece and Ranking of Kings. TVmaze-derived catalog contributions are provided under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Underlying artwork belongs to its respective rights holders.

Discovery rankings

Popular uses TVmaze's relative show popularity. The Movies filter uses TheTVDB's relative movie popularity, independently of our catalog ratings. We apply these signals only to reviewed show or movie identities. Titles without a current popularity signal appear last; movie popularity is not inferred from a related television show.

Rising this week measures growth in English Wikipedia reading interest over seven complete days compared with the preceding 28 days. It is not a count of viewers. We use exact identity matches, exclude incomplete histories, and require a minimum level of interest. Known automated traffic is excluded using Wikimedia's user traffic category.

Wikimedia Analytics API data is available under CC0 1.0. Our dated ranking signals include observation dates, source links, and identity evidence. TVmaze contributions retain CC BY-SA 4.0. TheTVDB movie scores remain subject to TheTVDB API terms; show and movie scores are never compared across providers. We stop using popularity observations after seven days. A rising-interest window counts as this week for four days after it ends; if an update is late, we show it as last week's for up to ten days, then stop using it; missing signals are never replaced with ratings.

Release updates

When a freshness publication is active, reviewed TVmaze season records and TheTVDB movie records can update release dates and status independently of the historical catalog snapshot. A future premiere remains upcoming; missing or expired evidence cannot establish that a release has finished. Individually reviewed corrections take priority.

Published observations retain their collection dates and source terms. New provider titles require identity and content review before appearing in the catalog.

Series membership

Our reviewed TVmaze season groups connect catalog releases mapped to seasons of the same show. The download includes exact show, season and episode identifiers, source links and retrieval fingerprints. TVmaze-derived membership is provided under CC BY-SA 4.0; catalog identity labels retain their separately stated source terms.

Selected series groups use explicit membership statements in Wikidata, under CC0 1.0. Our reviewed series source list records identities and statement revisions. Selected official release listings establish additional reviewed Naruto/Boruto family and official animation families, plus One Piece. These selections record factual identities without copying source prose or images. Membership identifies related installments; it does not establish watch order or complete franchise coverage.

Filler guides

Filler, mixed and recap labels on long-running series come from fan wikis whose text is available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licences, or from sources that gave us permission. We read the labels the wikis themselves put on each episode page, map them to our episode numbering, and check every range before it appears. Novel-adaptation ranges come from a wiki arc page and an English or Japanese Wikipedia article (CC BY-SA) that both name the novel. Unlabelled episodes count as canon. Each label credits its wiki where it shows.

Our episode guide download lists every range with the page it came from, the source's licence and the date we read it. It is offered under the same licence as its source. Wikis disagree now and then; if a label looks wrong, tell us at support@myanimetracker.com.

Reviewed film facts

Selected film runtimes and original release dates use Wikidata structured data, available under CC0 1.0. We check these facts against official production and release information and identify corrections separately.

Our reviewed film source list records the selected values, release or edition scope, and supporting links. This notice covers factual information; it does not grant rights to film posters or stills.

Where to watch

Streaming links come from Wikidata structured data, available under CC0 1.0. We match a release by its MyAnimeList anime identifier and link to the title pages Wikidata records on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu and Disney+. A season with no links of its own uses those recorded for its show. Links open the service's own page; availability varies by region and can change.

Trailers

Trailers are videos their rights holders published on YouTube. Our servers use YouTube API Services to suggest one from an official studio, publisher or distributor channel, and a person approves each one before it appears. A series page plays its first entry's trailer, so it won't give away a later season. Each video is credited to its channel and plays in YouTube's own player, under the YouTube Terms of Service. We check each one at least weekly and hide any that is removed or can no longer be embedded.

Reviewed announcements and identities

Selected titles the database snapshot lacks or lists out of date use factual information from official production sites. Our reviewed announcement list records those facts and sources. Existing numeric title and episode identifiers keep personal tracking records connected. Database licenses do not grant rights to all linked images or third-party material.

Our reviewed English titles and additional posters download records each selected value, its source link, and the evidence connecting it to a catalog release. English names take display priority while original names and aliases remain searchable. Poster selections identify their show, season, or movie and can be reviewed before episode information is available.

When a release has no selected poster, we may show artwork from a verified related release in the same series. These images are labelled “Series artwork” and credit the artwork's original source. Our reviewed series artwork list records explicit selections. Additional fallbacks use direct membership in the reviewed series groups above and a related release's own selected poster. A release's own selected poster always takes priority.

Our reviewed background selections identify landscape images from TVmaze or TheTVDB for the corresponding show or movie. Show backgrounds may appear across releases verified within the same provider show; they are not season-specific artwork. Some releases use a verified related release's background, labelled “Series background” and credited to the original source. These selections, whether listed individually or derived automatically from a related release's own show background, record both releases as direct members of the same reviewed series group and preserve the donor's image provenance; a release's own background always takes priority; they do not imply that the releases or their episodes are equivalent. Selected backgrounds load directly from the provider's image CDN and take priority over earlier TVmaze background selections. When no background is selected, the series header may reuse its displayed cover image. Backgrounds credit their own source when it differs from the cover's source.

These selections retain separate source terms: TVmaze-derived names and artwork selections use CC BY-SA 4.0; names reviewed from Anime Offline Database retain ODbL 1.0 and DbCL 1.0; official release names are individually cited facts, with no open-license claim over the source sites' prose or artwork. Underlying artwork belongs to its respective rights holders.

Additional posters and episode stills are provided through TheTVDB. Each selected image links to its source record. Our reviewed episode image selections identify the corresponding release and episode. A single-episode short without a poster may display its own still, labelled “Episode still”. TheTVDB data is subject to its API terms; it is not offered here under an open-data licence. API access does not transfer ownership of the artwork or grant underlying image-display rights.

Catalog transformations

Our downloadable transformation method describes how we select, normalize, combine, and display the source contributions above, including rounding, missing values, and date rules. Scores are hidden for titles marked as not yet released in the source snapshot or current catalog. Historical anticipation scores remain hidden after release. Currently unreleased titles are excluded from Top rated unless explicitly requested through a status filter. Each contribution retains its applicable source terms.
