Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using MyAnimeTracker, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and is part of this agreement.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use MyAnimeTracker. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use it with a parent or guardian's permission. Do not use the service if a previous account of yours was terminated for breaking these terms.

What the service is

MyAnimeTracker lets you track anime series, movies, and episodes — what you have watched, what you are watching, and what you plan to watch — on the website and in the iOS app. It is provided as-is and may change, gain features, lose features, or go offline for maintenance.

Your account

• Give accurate sign-up details and keep your email address current.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Tell us promptly at support@myanimetracker.com if you think someone else has access.
• One account per person. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.

Acceptable use

Do not do any of the following:

• Break the law, infringe someone's rights, or harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
• Probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to break into the service or its infrastructure.
• Use bots or automated tools to bulk-create accounts or bulk-request data from our servers.
• Upload malware, or post content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative of minors.
• Resell, rebrand, or redistribute the service itself. This restriction does not limit rights granted by the licenses that apply to catalog data, as described on our Data sources page.

These service-use restrictions protect accounts and infrastructure. They do not limit reuse of downloadable catalog data under its applicable licenses.

Your content

Your library, notes, ratings, username, and profile details are yours. You keep ownership of them. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, back up, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you and to sync it between the web and the app. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies sitting in routine backups until they age out. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

Third-party catalog content

Our catalog uses selected information from Anime Offline Database, TVmaze, Wikidata, and individually cited official sources. Source attribution, applicable licenses, and downloadable data are available on our Data sources page. Those source licenses govern the rights they grant in the corresponding catalog contributions; these terms do not restrict those rights. Artwork belongs to its respective rights holders, and a database license does not by itself grant rights to every image. MyAnimeTracker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these sources or by any studio, publisher, or streaming platform. We do not host or stream anime. If you own rights to material shown here and want it removed, email support@myanimetracker.com with the details and we will review it promptly.

Paid features and advertising

MyAnimeTracker is free today. In the future we may offer optional paid subscriptions and show advertising; subscription terms will be presented at purchase and managed through the App Store. Nothing you already have will be taken away without notice, and we will never charge you without your explicit agreement at the time of purchase.

Ending your account

You can stop using MyAnimeTracker at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, email support@myanimetracker.com from the address on the account; we delete within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, creates a risk to other users, or is required to be closed by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that catalog data — episode counts, air dates, artwork, and the like — is accurate or complete. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MyAnimeTracker and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. If a change matters, we update the date above and note it on the site. Continuing to use MyAnimeTracker after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
