Terms of service

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using MyAnimeTracker, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and is part of this agreement.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use MyAnimeTracker. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use it with a parent or guardian's permission. Do not use the service if a previous account of yours was terminated for breaking these terms.

What the service is

MyAnimeTracker lets you track anime series, movies, and episodes (what you have watched, what you are watching, and what you plan to watch) on the website and in the iOS app. You can also follow other people, share your library, ask Mika, our optional AI assistant, about what you watch, and subscribe to MyAnimeTracker Plus for extra features. The service is provided as-is and may change, gain features, lose features, or go offline for maintenance.

Your account

• Give accurate sign-up details and keep your email address current.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Tell us promptly at support@myanimetracker.com if you think someone else has access.
• One account per person. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.

Acceptable use

Do not do any of the following:

• Break the law, infringe someone's rights, or harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
• Probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to break into the service or its infrastructure.
• Use bots or automated tools to bulk-create accounts or bulk-request data from our servers.
• Upload malware, or post content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative of minors.
• Resell, rebrand, or redistribute the service itself. This restriction does not limit rights granted by the licenses that apply to catalog data, as described on our Data sources page.

These service-use restrictions protect accounts and infrastructure. They do not limit reuse of downloadable catalog data under its applicable licenses.

Community guidelines

Anything other people can see, including your username, display name, bio, social handles, profile picture, and anything you post, must follow our community guidelines. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We may filter or remove content that breaks them, and warn, mute, or ban the account responsible. You can report content and block other accounts at any time, and we aim to review reports within 24 hours.

Mika

Mika's answers are written by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, so check anything that matters before relying on it. Mika tries not to spoil episodes you haven't watched, but it can't promise that. Don't use Mika to try to get content our community guidelines don't allow, and don't use its answers to build another service. Mika has a daily question limit, which is higher with Plus, and we may change the limit or the feature. Our privacy policy explains what Mika sends and to whom.

Your content

Your library, notes, ratings, username, profile details, posts and the photos or videos in them are yours. You keep ownership of them. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, back up, process (including resizing, converting and re-encoding photos and videos), and display that content solely to operate the service for you, to sync it between the web and the app, and to show it to the people you choose to share it with. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies sitting in routine backups until they age out. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

Corrections are different. When you report that something in our catalog is wrong (“Something wrong?”), you let us use the facts and sources in your report to check and correct the catalog, and you agree that a correction we make from it becomes part of our catalog data and may be shared under the same licenses as the rest of that data (see our Data sources page). We check reports against sources before changing anything, and we may not act on every report. Please send only facts and links, not text copied from other sites.

Third-party catalog content

Our catalog uses selected information from Anime Offline Database, TVmaze, TheTVDB, Wikidata, Wikimedia, and individually cited official sources. Source attribution, applicable licenses, and downloadable data are available on our Data sources page. Those source licenses govern the rights they grant in the corresponding catalog contributions; these terms do not restrict those rights. Artwork belongs to its respective rights holders, and a database license does not by itself grant rights to every image. MyAnimeTracker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these sources or by any studio, publisher, or streaming platform. We do not host or stream anime. If you own rights to material shown here and want it removed, email support@myanimetracker.com with the details and we will review it promptly.

Trailers

Some show pages offer a trailer. Each one is a video its rights holder published on YouTube, which we link to or play in YouTube's own player; we don't host or change it. We use YouTube API Services to find and check these videos. By watching a trailer here you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to what YouTube collects.

What stays free

MyAnimeTracker is free, and these parts stay free for good: your library and tracking (statuses, ratings, notes, and favorites), series grouping, watch order and filler guidance, episode progress, sync between the web and the app, your public profile, following people and sharing your library, where-to-watch links, importing and exporting your data, and all catalog data and downloads on the Data sources page. Paying never unlocks content we otherwise hide.

We may show advertising to people who don't subscribe to Plus in the future. If we do, we will update these terms and our privacy policy first.

MyAnimeTracker Plus

• What it is. Plus is an optional subscription with extra features, such as calendar sync, episode alerts by email, deeper stats, and a higher daily limit for Mika. Push alerts for new episodes are free. The features can change over time.
• Price and billing. Plus costs US$2.99 a month or US$19.99 a year on the website and in the iOS app in the United States, where Stripe bills it. In the iOS app outside the United States, Apple bills it through In-App Purchase at the local price shown in the app. The price, billing period, and renewal terms are shown before you pay, and we never charge you without your agreement at the time of purchase. Taxes may apply.
• Renewal. Plus renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. If we change the price, we'll tell you before it applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before then.
• Cancelling. If Stripe bills you, cancel anytime from the Plus section of your profile. If Apple bills you, cancel in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Either way, you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments aren't refunded, including for part of a period. If something went wrong, email support@myanimetracker.com and we'll look at it. Apple handles refunds for purchases it billed, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Founders. Everyone who subscribes by the end of January 31, 2027, US Pacific time, gets a permanent Founder badge, and keeps the price they signed up at for as long as that subscription stays active. The badge stays even if you cancel.

Ending your account

You can stop using MyAnimeTracker at any time. In the iOS app, you can delete your account and everything in it from Profile → Settings → Delete account. You can also email support@myanimetracker.com from the address on the account; we delete within 30 days. Deleting your account cancels a Plus subscription billed by Stripe straight away, without a refund for the rest of the period. A subscription billed by Apple keeps renewing until you cancel it with Apple. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, creates a risk to other users, or is required to be closed by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that catalog data (episode counts, air dates, artwork, and the like) is accurate or complete. Episode alerts and the calendar depend on that data, so an alert can arrive late, early, or not at all. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MyAnimeTracker and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

The iOS app and Apple

If you use the iOS app, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property. You must also follow the App Store's terms when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. If a change matters, we update the date above and note it on the site. Continuing to use MyAnimeTracker after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
